2. Metallica :
Metallica is an American Thrash Metal band formed in 1981 . The original lineup was James Hetfield (Vocalist and Rhythm guitarist), Dave Mustaine (Lead Guitar), Lars Ulrich (Drums), Ron McGovney (Bassist). The group came into mainstream from their Self-Titled album and the hit single "Enter Sandman".
With their first two albums, Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning reaching underground success, their third effort, Master of Puppets has since become one of the most important heavy metal albums ever, as it became the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum. The title track has since become the band's most played song live.
Metallica is currently on a worldwide tour called "WorldWired Tour" with Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat.

Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. They rose to fame with their 1986 album Reign in Blood, and is credited as one of the big four of thrash metal bands, the others being Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
Slayer is also known as one of the most influential bands in metal history, influencing many bands that have come out in the past few years. Steve Huey of AllMusic believes that Slayer's musical style makes them stronger than the other members in the big four of thrash metal.

Led Zeppelin was an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums). The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors of heavy metal.
Led Zeppelin are widely considered one of the most successful, innovative, and influential rock groups in history. They are one of the best-selling music artists in the history of audio recording; various sources estimate the group's record sales at 200 to 300 million units worldwide. Nirvana was an American grunge band that was formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana disbanded after Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994. The drummer of the band, David Grohl, went on to start the Foo-Fighters, an alternative rock band.
Nirvana is most well-known for their album "Nevermind" and their song "Smells Like Teen Spirit". The band is known for being one of the most popular grunge bands of all time . Together with Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains, the band is part of the Big 4 of Grunge. Since its debut, the band has sold over 25 million records in the United States alone, and over 75 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time . Nirvana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, in its first year of eligibility.

6. Alice In Chains :
Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987 by guitarist and songwriter Jerry Cantrell and original lead vocalist Layne Staley.
Layne's voice was unique and like no other grunge singer. It sends a chill down your spine. Layne will never be forgotten. Jerry's riffs and songwriting add it up. I didn't know what kind of rock music I liked until I heard of Alice in Chains. They influenced me into the grunge era, and got me to like other grunge bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Plots and more.

7. Pearl Jam :
Pearl Jam is a Alternative/Grunge Rock Band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band had comprised of Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament.
Pearl Jam are most famous for their hit singles "Even Flow", "Black", and "Jeremy" which all appear on their debut album, "Ten", named after the basketball player Mookie Blaylock's jersey number, #10.Pearl Jam is music I like to call Eargasm, or ear orgasm. They are amazing, and the best thing is, they're the only Grunge band to have never broken up or faded into obscurity. Instead, they have evolved, whether new direction is good or bad, and they have stuck with it.

8. SoundGarden :
Soundgarden is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1984 by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto.
Soundgarden has been around since 1984. They have had an influence on Nirvana and Alice in Chains. Soundgarden is said to be the grandfathers of the Seattle grunge scene. Cornell's vocals blow everybody else out of the water

9. Audioslave :
Audioslave was an American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2001 and disbanded in 2007. The four-piece band consisted of then-former Soundgarden lead singer/rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, and then-former Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk.
